Forthcoming events...

The Forth Naturalist and Historian is holding its 30th annual Man and the Landscape Symposium at Stirling University on Saturday 13 November, and all who are interested in such matters are welcome to attend. The day opens with registration at 10am in Lecture Theatre A3 in the Cottrell Building, and the overall subject will be "Landscapes of the Mines". Speakers include Mike Brown of the British Geological Survey ("The Era of Coal"), John Crompton of the Scottish Industrial Heritage Society ("Moving the Coal"), and Elaine Cameron of Dalgleish Associates ("Restoration - putting it right"). The morning session will close with the launch of volume 27 of the Forth Naturalist and Historian journal itself, and the day will close with a panel discussion.
