Much of the work undertaken by Friends of the Ochils now takes place electronically, using email, and a considerable percentage of FotO members are online, whether at home or work. We''re attempting to compile a list of members'' email addresses, so that we can let you all know much quicker than by traditional letter when something is happening, for instance with regard to planning applications for windfarms (these usually require a response to the council inside 28 days, so the speed at which we can let members know can be critical).

David Gordon is also treasurer of FotO, but intends to relinquish both posts at this year''s AGM in November, following a decade of sterling service.
