Editors Note
As the Ochils soft, summer texture takes on a crisper form for winter, so too do we see change in FotO. Dave Hewitt, who has for many years been at the helm of the newsletter is ‘hanging up his coat’ this autumn. As is David Gordon, long standing Treasurer and Membership Secretary. This leads me to introduce myself as your new editor. Having swapped my role as a features writer for the country companion’s guide Scottish Field to work for the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) as an editor, I am looking forward to learning more about the Ochils.
Particularly as our local landscape is threatened by questionable energy developments and a brutal terrain of pylons, it is vital we promote this area in all it has to offer. As with all previous newsletters, FotO continues to welcome your input, whether it is a letter, events, news or an idea for a feature, please do get in touch!
