On 13th June 2006, the Reporter to the Public Inquiry held during April gave permission to CRE Energy to erect 18 wind turbines at Green Knowes, Glen Devon. The turbines will stretch over a 3-mile swathe, to the north-east of the A823, from near Glendevon Church to the summit of Steele's Knowe. They will be visible from the tops of most of the hills in the Ochils, as well as from a number of lower areas.
