The Friends of the Ochils have objected to the Windburn Windfarm development which has boundaries around Ben Buck, Blairdenon Hill, Ben Gengie and Craighorn (see details: https://windburnwindfarm.co.uk/project-info). The reason for this is due to the significant adverse impact on the Ochils’ landscape, visual amenity, and recreational use. While we do not campaign against renewable energy, our core aim is to protect the Ochils against unacceptable developments that could harm the landscape and people’s enjoyment of it.
